Opposites attract
The result of my rant against the likes of eminent global warming skeptic nutter and general crackpot (he was a Thatcherite) Third Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, is that an ad appears on my blog page advertizing a "layman's guide" to "flaws" in the case for global warming. The nerve of it.
Well I know what you might be thinking...but it's about chemistry of course. Since Dulcie and I are big fans of Gordon Ramsay, there lies the inspiration. You know, the "f" word. It's about food of course, though if you've ever watched it on BBCAmerica or Channel 4, you will know what else it is about. Although I sometimes want to react as if my students had just incinerated fifty pieces of tuna Hell's Kitchen, it's probably not the best way to get results.
Since the internet now provides everyone with a soap box, I thought it was time that I added my perspective on things, scientific and otherwise, locally and globally.

The Savvy Cyber Professor
Aylwin in RL - by the Zig-Zag, a stream dashing down from the slopes of Mount Hood - a bottle of Pinot Noir close to hand no doubt.
Just in case there is any confusion, this is my "nom de plume" for the internet, my second life if you will. If you want to contact me, you can determine my true identity from my home page. I am currently on the faculty at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, where I have taught chemistry for going on 9 years. Prior to that I was in scientific research in one capacity or another for almost 20 years involved in development of new products and processes in nonlinear optical and laser host materials, miniaturized lasers, processing of optical polymers, amorphous semiconductor devices, rechargeable battery cathode materials, electrochromic materials, zeolites and molecular sieves.
